According to SPRING Singapore website, Occupational Safety and Health or OHS is a key concern for chemical and process industries as these industries intrinsically carry higher risks and handle hazardous materials. An effective OSH management system enables these industries to manage their OHS risks and prevents accidents which could have a great impact on business continuity, business opportunities and customers’ confidence.
SS506: Part3 was developed by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the Association of Process Industry (ASPRI), Association of Safety Auditing Firms, representatives from chemical companies, their contractors and service providers, and safety consultants and published by SPRING Singapore. With SS506: Part3, organisations would be able to satisfy the requirements of both the OHSAS 18001 and the mandatory SMS in one single audit instead of dual audit by preparing their OHS management systems according to the standard. This cuts cost and saves time and resources spent on auditing. With the greatest emphasis given to OHS in meeting statuary and regulatory requirements, CIS has applied to SAC to seek accreditation in SS506 Part 1 & 3. We have cleared SS506 Part 1 & 3 system audit in September 2007. We are ready to carry out SS506 Part 1 & 3 audit in the event that your company wishes to seek this certification. We are an approved WSH Auditing organization by MOM thus be able to carry out WSH audit for your organization.Integrated Management SystemIntegrated Management system is for organization that has a single management system which is incorporated with one or more management systems standards.
